Mark Hemingway

Mark Hemingway's Musings

Every Sunday, as worship leaders and musicians, we strive to find music that will enhance the Word which is being preached. That music can vary widely from soft, and soothing, or challenging, to declamatory, and exuberant. Whatever the mood of the worship, as musicians, we are there serving the Lord, spreading His message. While our polite society has been trained to applaud every performance, please know that it is not necessary nor always appropriate in the worship setting. As worship musicians, we do not consider ourselves performers, nor do we seek the applause from the congregation. A simple word of thanks following worship would be much more meaningful.

If you feel so moved by an especially exciting and joyous musical selection to Praise God for his wondrous works, then by all means, "clap on brother," but please know that that worship is to God and not to the lowly servants in the choir.

Music Ensembles

We gather around the love of Christ for music, ministry, fellowship, support, encouragement and care. New members are always welcome and we never take attendance.
